Information on how we store ranking preferences locally
Cookies and browser LocalStorage are small text files saved locally on your computer or mobile device when you browse websites. They enable the web app to remember your head-to-head match progress, preferred café search filters, and consent status.
We utilize Essential Storage to save your pairwise ranking scores in progress so that refreshing the page does not reset your tournament or collection sorting session. We also store your choice regarding cookie consent (`sortbuddy_cookie_consent`) so that the banner notice does not repeatedly appear after your selection.
You can clear local cookies at any time through your browser's security settings. Disabling local storage may prevent the ranker tool from saving active pairwise choices across page reloads.
